Forty-three CCU students volunteered at the 10th annual Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women. The event was hosted by Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University and took place on Feb. 10, 2020, at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Conference Center.

Isaiah Davis has been elected the first Afro-Latino president of the Coastal Carolina Colony of the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. He is an intelligence and national securities studies pre-major at Coastal Carolina University.

The Wall Fellows program at Coastal Carolina University inducted nine new members on Nov. 1, 2019, at its annual induction ceremony. This year, the Wall Fellows are celebrating the 25th year of its inception.

CCU names seven new Jackson Center Scholars for 2019-2021
Seven Coastal Carolina University students were selected as scholars for the Jackson Family Center for Ethics and Values. The Jackson Center aims to cultivate ethical awareness within the University and surrounding community. The scholars will take part in the program through 2021. The leadership program lasts two years and assists students in developing a strong foundation for ethics and a clear awareness for their own values. The program began in 2004 and is open to students of all majors. Scholars take a variety of philosophy and leadership courses throughout the program and participate in campus and community events, including an ethics academy for middle schoolers and an intercollegiate ethics bowl. Business leadership organization inducts new fellows
The Community and Business Engagement (CoBE) Institute at Coastal Carolina University inducted 13 new members at an induction ceremony on April 18. The CoBE Institute is a student-led organization that bridges the gap between the classroom and workplace experience by pairing high-achieving undergraduate business students with real-life business consulting projects. Students selected as CoBE Associates will receive instruction and mentoring as they gain real-world practical experience that will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while producing and providing high-quality solutions for business clients.

Forty-three Coastal Carolina University students have been selected to lead this summer's Orientation programming for incoming students. This summer, these hand-picked individuals will be the first point of contact for new students as they begin their college careers at CCU. Orientation team members are selected in order to put together a diverse staff, full of various experiences, backgrounds, strengths and challenges.

Call Me Mister program at CCU adds new members
Fifteen students were accepted into the Call Me Mister program at Coastal Carolina University for the Fall of 2018. The Call Me Mister programs aims to assist with the recruitment, training, and certification of elementary teachers from disadvantaged communities who are planning to teach in South Carolina schools, especially in the lowest performing elementary schools.

CCU students elected to activities board
Eleven Coastal Carolina University students were elected to the Coastal Activities Board (CAB) to provide and organize events for students throughout the 2018-2019 academic year. CAB is a student-run organization that provides a variety of entertainment and leadership opportunities to Coastal students. Students who serve on CAB plan events and play an active role in various committees throughout the year.

Seven Coastal Carolina University students from various colleges and degree programs have been named the 2019 Dyer Fellows. Dyer Fellows are select students who study and attend workshops, culminating in an individualized research project on a topic of public policy; they also travel to Washington, D.C., to explore centers of policy formation and implementation.

CCU students attend Model EU Conference in NYC
Eight Coastal Carolina University students have participated in the European Union (EU) Simulation program hosted by the State University of New York. The program involves more than 20 universities from the United States and Europe and brings more than 140 students to the annual Model EU Conference in New York City. Participating students are from CCU's Department of Politics in the Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts.

Eight Coastal Carolina University students recently took first and second place honors in several categories at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) State Leadership Conference in Charleston. The winning students will travel to Chicago in June to compete at the National Leadership Conference.
