Megan Garrell serves Atlanta homeless on Spring Break

Eleven Coastal Carolina University students in sororities and fraternities spent their Spring Break volunteering in a homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta, Ga. The Greek student volunteers worked in the Central Night Shelter, a facility for homeless men, taking shifts throughout the night to help out as needed.

The shelter hosts more than 100 guests each night and provides sack lunches, dinner and overnight assistance.

The students also did fundraising to raise awareness about homelessness. All the funds raised are going toward buying supplies for the shelter and the men.

All of the students have been sponsored by chapters at CCU.
