Brianna Arias gets hands-on experience at Monday After the Masters golf event in Myrtle Beach

Four sport and recreation management majors at Coastal Carolina University had the opportunity to work the popular Monday After the Masters celebrity golf pro-am in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on April 9.

Assistant professor Nick Schlereth reached out to Empire Sport Management to set up the opportunity and more than 350 recreation and sport management majors had the chance to apply for the experience. Among the four students selected:

Brianna Arias, a recreation and sport management major from Stamford, CT.

The students were able to help with sponsorship activation, setting up tents, VIP gifting, logistics and more.

Monday After the Masters is an annual event that takes place each Monday following the Masters golf tournament, and it has raised millions of dollars for children's educational programs and the South Carolina junior golf program.
